CYS Services provides program options to children and youth from ages 6 weeks to 18 years of age.  All CYS Services programs have trained and caring staff, modern and clean facilities, and a low child-staff ratio.  CYS Services offers the following programs:

Child Development Services (CDS) provides care to children ages 6 weeks through Kindergarten. The Thomas J.P. Family Child Care (FCC) homes provide flexible hours and a comfortable familial setting.  Most homes also offer full-day, part-day and hourly care.  Special services may include 24-hour and long-term care during mobilization and training exercises, evenings and weekend care, and care for special needs children, newborns and mildly ill children.  For more information regarding the FCC program, please call (575) 678-7093 or visit the CYS Liaison, Education, and Outreach Services Office, located on the second floor of Bldg 501.

Parent involvement is one of the most important parts of a successful experience with child care.  A positive child care experience for your child is enhanced through a strong parent and staff relationship Parents are encouraged to take a few minutes to talk to your child’s Program Assistant and drop in occasionally during the day to observe how your child interacts with the staff and other children.

We urge parents to make suggestions that will improve the care and operation of our program.  Many of our current services originated as parent suggestions.

Please bring your child to our center in play clothes so that your child will feel free to participate in our many activities.  We do recommend a change of clothing (labeled and placed in a bag) be brought in for use in case of an accident. Label all your child's sweaters, jackets, hats, etc., so that they may be easily identified.
