Advise current school notice of withdraw. It is Army policy to In/Out Process with the
school.
Obtain school transcript.
Hand carry these records with you, if there is a delay in the delivery of your household
items, it could mean a delay in registration or inappropriate placement.
Birth Certificate
Social Security Card
Children's Military ID
Immunization Records
Copy of School Transcript
IEP for students with Special Needs
Contact Army Community Services relocations program. For information on your
gaining installation and the surrounding communities visit the Standard Installation
Topic Exchange Services web-site.
Check the new school calendar. Taking leave in conjunction with a PCS move, can
mean significant loss of classroom time and promote academic retention.
Be familiar with eligibility requirements, such as requirements for graduation.
Contact housing office at gaining installation to determine waiting period for on-post
quarters.
Visit the State Department of Education web-site. If going oversees, visit DODEA
Schedule an annual review and dismissal meeting to discuss the progress your child
has made since their last Individual Education Plan (IEP).
Contact the School Liaison Office (SLO) and Army Community Services (ACS)
at gaining installation. They can help you with identifying resources at your gaining
installation.
